Illawarra Birders club have chosen nine locations in the Illawarra featuring a variety of habitats including beaches, wetlands, woodland, lake and rainforest places to showcase the variety of birds found in the council regions of Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama

Illawarra Birding – Newsletter

The club magazine is emailed free to Members six times per year.

Containing great stories of local interest as well as articles about International birding and conservation issues, the newsletter is of interest to everyone.

Birdlife of Wollongong Botanic Garden

Illawarra Birder Terrill Nordstrom’s latest work is a beautifully designed 74-page book which describes all of the 144 bird species that have been recorded at Wollongong Botanic Garden. The author gives detailed accounts of each species, as well as general information about the Garden. Graphic design was by Paul Charlier, and the photos were supplied by Martin Potter.

Publication of the book was possible thanks to generous support from the Friends of Wollongong Botanic Garden.
